Most employers have had problems with staff reporting
absent through stress. Often, though, the employee may give another reason
for absence, frequently in collusion with their doctor. Often there
is a suspicion amongst colleagues that there is nothing wrong at all, and
dread of what may be said or thought by workmates makes it harder for the absentee
to return. Employers are being put under growing pressure to
monitor stress in the workplace and to be responsible for reducing
it as much as possible. These efforts tend to be directed toward
the working environment and not toward the individual employee as a
person.
Many employers automatically think
"absence" when stress is mentioned. However, they are more likely to be
losing money due to inefficiencies caused by those members of staff who
are stressed, but who do not report sick. Only the very
worst affected will feel unable to work. Most sufferers try to soldier on.
They make mistakes, miss deadlines, and do not put on the best front to
customers. (Click the Cost Benefit Analysis Model button to see

The Dalgety Bay
Hypnotherapy Clinic sees people every day. Many say that their work is
being affected significantly. For most,
the root of the problem has little or nothing to do with their working
environment!
Most have problems caused by traumas
earlier in their lives.
There seems no point in putting a
huge amount of effort into Stress Assessments when this work may not
actually improve attendance and efficiency.
I offer a cheap and efficient way
to motivate your staff and to improve how your staff feel about
themselves. NB There is more to Hypnotherapy than
relaxation!

Stress means more than just Absences!
We are all aware that Stress costs money in absences and possibly legal
action. Whilst absence is easily quantifiable, many people work at less than
their full potential. There will be a range of effects on around 40% of the
workforce ranging from 99% to 0% productivity, i.e. an average of 40% of your
workforce may be working at 50% efficiency. Even if these people are only
affected for 50% of the time, this represents a 10% loss in productivity.
For every ten people you employ, you may be losing one Man Year due to Stress
How many of your staff get it "Right First
Time"?
How often do you have to send something back to be
re-done correctly?
Do you know that your staff will always project the
best image to Customers?
How often do you say about an employee: "What's the
matter with him or her?"
You owe it to your
business to ensure that your staff are well motivated and relaxed at
work
Hypnotherapy what is it?
There is nothing
weird or mysterious about the hypnotic state. It is a totally natural
state that can be likened to day dreaming or the period just before going
to sleep. In fact, when you are daydreaming you
are
in hypnosis!
Hypnosis is an inward focusing of
attention where the demands of the outside world are switched off. It is a
state of deep relaxation during which the analytical mind shuts off:
making the unconscious mind accessible.
We hypnotise ourselves every day, e.g.
when seeking inspiration, brainstorming, or even simply trying to remember
something. When we do, we certainly don't think about it being hypnosis,
and most of us don't even think about the process at all - it's so
natural.
This is Hypnosis.
This is all it is!
Hypnotherapy is the application of both
psychoanalytical and suggestion techniques directed at the unconscious
mind, which has become accessible whilst the subject is hypnotised.
During treatment,
you are not asleep and nothing can
happen without your consent or approval. You can hear everything being said
and afterwards will usually remember all that has happened and will
definitely remember all that you want to. Hypnotherapy is a useful,
non-invasive supplement to orthodox medicine and standard counselling. Doctors are
becoming increasingly supportive of hypnotherapy as an aid to better
health.
Hypnotherapy: How it helps
Psychological: Many people suffer physical
and psychological ailments due to prolonged stress or to unresolved
problems from their past. They may feel over-stressed, that they can't
cope, have skin problems, etc., or just feel a sadness deep inside them.
Physical: The sub-conscious mind plays a
major part in your immune system. Whilst it may not always be possible to
cure physical problems, Hypnotherapy can often assist in the relief of
distressing symptoms and can help subjects to come to terms with their
illness, and so bring about a significant and beneficial change in quality
of life.
Confidence: Hypnotherapy can help people feel
more confident, feel better about themselves and help them to face
difficult or stressful situations. This helps them to project confidence
in meetings, during presentations, contribute ideas, etc.
Family: Your staff need to be able to "switch
off" at home. It is important to be able to spend quality time with
family, and to be motivated enough to participate in, and enjoy, other
leisure activities. Many bring personal problems to work.
Focus: Hypnotherapy helps motivate your staff
and helps them focus on success.
If you have someone whose performance has degraded or who
is suffering from stess, or other behavioural problems such as anger
issues, low self-esteem, over-eating, confidence, etc., Hypnotherapy can
restore them to full health and productivity.
Don't worry - I will not make
your staff feel sorry for the competition!
